Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

In order to submit the paper for a review and it to be published please submit your papers on www.mhpi.chnu.edu.ua or via email y.makar@chnu.edu.ua.

  1. A file with the text of the paper and annotations. (Size: article – up to12 pages; review, note– up to 350 words, including summaries and footnotes). A-4 paper format, 1.5 line spacing, typeface – Times New Roman 14 points, fields: to the left - 3 cm, to the top, to the bottom - 2.5 cm, to the right - 1.5 cm; indentation - 0,5 cm (in the text of the article); articles page should be numbered. References to the literature in the text are given in square brackets [5, p. 38].

 

The structure of the article:

  • UDC;
  • a title of the article;
  • an author (s) name;
  • full name of the institution and unit where the work was carried out;
  • an abstract in Ukrainian;
  • keywords in Ukrainian;
  • the title of the article in English[1];
  • the author (s) in English;
  • full name of the institution and unit where the work was performed (in English);
  • anextended abstract in English (for articles in English to make an extended resume in Ukrainian) – Abstract, up to 1 page;
  • keywords in English ˗ Keywords;
  • atitle of the article in Russian;
  • anabstract in Russian
  • keywords in Russian;
  • the text of the article in the original language (structure of the article: the formulation of the scientific problem and its significance; analysis of recent research on this problem; formulation of the purpose and objectives of the article; presentation of the main material; conclusions);
  • a list of sources (in alphabetical order). Should be designed in accordance with Harvard reference system requirements;
  • a list of sources in the Latin alphabet (translated) ˗ References.

 

ABSTRACT

The abstract in English must be informative (without general words), original (do not repeat the abbreviated annotation in Ukrainian), informative (display the main content of the article and research results) and structured (perhaps even as in the article: subject, subject, purpose, method or methodology, results, conclusions). An English language abstract must be written in English without the use of automatic translators.

Avoid extra introductory phrases (for example, “the author of the article reviews”). Do not indicate historical references, if they do not constitute the main content of the document, the description of previously published works and well-known provisions in the abstract.

In the text of the abstract should be used syntactic constructions, inherent in the language of scientific and technical documents in order to avoid complex grammatical constructions (not applicable in the scientific English language).

The English language texts should be used the terminology inherent in foreign special texts. Abbreviations and symbols except for commonly used (including English special texts), should be used in exceptional cases or give their definition at first use.

REFERENCES

References in the Latin alphabet (transliterated) should be formatted in accordance with the requirements of the Harvard reference (Harvard reference system). Samples of Harvard-style sources can be found at this link http://www.emeraldgrouppublishing.com/authors/guides/write/harvard.htm?part=3

The transliterated list of references (References) should be given entirely by a separate block, repeating the list of literature provided in the Ukrainian language, regardless of whether there are foreign sources in it or not. If there are links to foreign publications in the list, they should be completely repeated in the list given in the Latin alphabet.

The name of the transliterated list should be English: References. In no case should it be transliterated: SPYSOK LITERATURY or use other names.

For transliteration of Ukrainian text, it is necessary to apply the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated January 27, 2010 No. 55 (http://zakon2.rada.gov.ua/laws/show/55-2010-%D0%BF), the site of the Online Transliteration http: //ukrlit.org/transliteratsiia. For transliteration of Russian text –the U.S. Department of State system (http://shub123.ucoz.ru/Sistema_transli­terazii.html).

 

  1. The author’s certificate with signatures should be scanned and attached.

 

  1. Scanned recommendation of a scientific supervisor or a person who has a scientific degree in a specialty corresponding to the subject of research for authors who do not have a degree (signed by the Candidate or Doctor of Sciences of the corresponding profile; the signature should be sealed).

[1] In the paper’s title translation in English there should be no transliteration, except for non-translated names of proper names, devices and other objects having their own names. Non translatable slang should not be used. In the title all meaningful words (except for articles and prepositions) must begin with a capital letter. For example, From National Interest to Global Reform: Patterns of Reasoning in the British Foreign Policy Discourse.

Submitting an article for publication, the author thereby agrees to:

- putting its full text at the disposal in the Internet;

- publication of information about the author (position, scientific degree, place of employment, e-mail).
