Abstract

The article is devoted to the features of the foreign policy of Hetman left-bank Ukraine - Ivan Samoilovych. In this article, special attention is paid to the problem of establishing diplomatic relations between the Rzeczpospolita and Muscovy in the first years of Hetman Ivan Samoilovych. Also, the author considered the course and consequences of international agreements on the situation of the Left-Bank Ukraine in the period іштіу1672 to 1677. Important at this time was the position of the Hetman of the Left Bank and his relationship with the Right-bank Hetman Doroshenko. The complexity of the situation was that Turkey and the Crimean Khanate tried to intervene all the time in the struggle for the Ukrainian lands.
