Анотація

Протягом XVI–XVII ст. у Європі йшло протистояння між Османською імперією та коаліцією європейських держав на чолі з Австрією. Османи прагнули здобути контроль над усією Угорщиною, підкорити інші території, змусити європейських монархів визнати залежність від Порти та сплачувати данину. У конфлікт було втягнуто й Кримське ханство як союзник Османської імперії.

У історіографії майже відсутня комплексна оцінка дій кримців у воєнних кампаніях Порти проти Угорщини та Австрії. У наявних дослідницьких працях участь кримських татар у конфліктах розкрита опосередковано в контексті воєнних дій османського війська.

Османська імперія змогла тривалий час протистояти цілій коаліції європейських держав завдяки в тому числі й кримським татарам, які завдавали удару по ворожих тилах, зривали мобілізацію у ворожому стані, постачали османське військо харчами та амуніцією. Порта часто використовувала окремі групи легкоозброєних кримців як загони польової чи тактичної розвідки під час своїх воєнних кампаній.
